About
Born in Guadalajara, Mexico, graduated in 2015 from the Western Institute of Technology and Higher Education (ITESO) with a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture. Along with her independent projects, Andrea has worked with several distinguished architecture firms in Guadalajara and Dallas.
Andrea’s aspirations are divided between architecture derivatives as well as art, photography, phenomenology, and philosophy. Passionate about her profession, in constant search of growth, learning, and experiences, she finds the common thread among all her aspirations—understanding the importance and value one has in relation to the other. Living abroad for several periods of time, as well as her human conscience, gives Andrea a wide perspective and sensibility.
Besides being a Panelist for the Dallas Architecture Forum “Design Inspirations” event, Andrea was recognized with the Honor Award in 2020 & Merit Award in 2019 by the LiA AIA. Her work has been showcased in art exhibits at the Instituto Cultural Cabañas and MURA Museum, both in Guadalajara.
Currently, Andrea is an avid swimmer and an aspiring triathlete, an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the University of Texas at Arlington while also working independently on several projects that include office spaces, residences, pavilions and lake houses. While she is a volunteer at the Dallas Architecture Forum, Andrea is also VER 3D’s U.S. partner; a rendering firm based in Guadalajara with international experience and recognition. Always open to collaborations with Interior Designers, Architects and Landscape Architects where she can continue to develop and learn from one another.
